“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

Hello there friend! Long time no read! I'm terribly sorry that I've been MIA on our little blog but a lot of things have been happening. This summer was unlike any summer I've ever had. It was not much of a summer. From working two summer jobs from 7:00A.M. - 8:15P.M. or later, to making daily trips to Tyler (an hour and half journey there and back) to visit my granddaddy while he's been in the hopsital, to figuring out who I am and working on myself, I have been quite the busy bee. But enough of this boringness. To say the least, I am very grateful for this summer. It allowed me to see new perspectives, appreciate what I have, and take every oppurtunity that is thrown my way. One of the opportunities that has been thrown at me is the chance to study in London, England this fall semester. From August 23rd until December 11th, I'll be immersed in the English culture. I am beyond excited for this new journey that awaits me. Now, because of this opputunity, I have to introduce you to JT. Who is JT you may ask? Is he a friend? Where is he from? What does he look like? Well to answer the questions you may or may not be asking yourself. He's my little, red, fat, plump traveling companion from Hobby Lobby (my last resort). In case you haven't figured it out yet, he's a tomato.🍅 (You'll have to excuse the very poor quality photo. My camera was already packed.)
JT is my little piece of Jacksonville that is going abroad with me. JT's full name is Jacksonville Tomato but I've shortened it to JT. Why JT? I wanted an iconic way to take photos while abroad that represented a little bit of me. So this summer I pondered what I could do or how I could pose and that's why I came up with JT. Being from Jacksonville I take great pride in the tomotoes that we're known for. I'm so picky and proud of Jacksonville tomatoes that I only eat home grown ones. Nothing tastes better. So now that you've met JT' I hope you follow us on our grand adventure that we have in store for us over the next few months. You can follow us with the hashtag #tomatotraveler Tally Ho, Abby & JT
